Happy new year!


After the busy Christmas period, it takes a week or two for all our suppliers to resume business, and so there is an initial period of limbo where we all find ourselves living off turkey scraps and mince pie crumbs, but do not panic! We are once again fully stocked with fresh local produce. Here are some dates that you may find useful:

  • Thursday 4th Jan: Artisan bread baking resumes, with a selection of handmade loaves available to tempt you.
  • Thursday 4th Jan: The T Box returns to our forecourt, serving hot drinks and grilled cheese sourdough sandwiches.
  • Friday 5th Jan: Johnsons Fishmongers return to our forecourt with freshly caught fish.

At the time of writing, Seville oranges have arrived in stock, so it’s a good time to shelter from the wet weather and make marmalade!

We hope Christmas was a successful one for you (if you ordered a turkey, crown, or any other joint from us, we’d love to know how it was). Happy new year for 2018, we hope to see you in our shop soon.
